The staff were nice enough and did try to help, but everything took longer than it should have. I’d ask something simple and get replies along the lines of “we’re checking on that for you” or “someone will get back to you shortly,” then I’d be waiting around for ages. Not a terrible experience, just slower than I expected.

Just a heads up for anyone thinking of going: the crowds completely ruined the day for us. There were queues for pretty much everything, and the staff seemed totally lost whenever we asked for help or directions. It felt chaotic from start to finish, i’d think twice before visiting unless they get things under control.

I went in thinking it would be a proper castle visit with loads of history to take in, but it ended up feeling more like standing around in queues and being nudged toward paying extra for things. The dungeon was an added cost, and a couple of the main things we wanted to see were either rammed or not running when we got there.
The outside of the castle is lovely, no question, but once we were inside it felt thin on actual information. We kept having to ask basic questions and explain what we were trying to find, only to get the same vague answers back, which got old fast.
For the price of the ticket, I expected a lot more. It felt more like a theme park with tired displays than a historic castle experience. We left earlier than planned and I wouldn’t bother going back.

Stopped by and wasn’t super impressed. The food was average for what they were charging, and the toilets didn’t feel very clean. Weirdly, I remember there was a tiny sticker of a cartoon banana on one of the bathroom doors, which somehow stuck in my mind more than the meal did.

The castle itself was nice and we did enjoy walking around, but the tickets felt overpriced for what you actually get. It was a bit disappointing because the visit sounded like it would include more than it did, and it kind of felt like they promised a bigger experience than what was delivered.
